Nocturn Sport is a sportsbook software supplier as well as a sportsbook. The same platform that runs nocturnsport.com is available to online casinos and betting operators who want to add sports betting without building an odds department from scratch. This page summarises what an operator gets; the detailed pages cover each building block.

What the sportsbook platform includes

Operators choose how much of the stack they take. Some plug the full front end into their casino lobby; others take only the API and design their own betting pages.

Why in-house odds matter for an operator

A sportsbook that copies the market inherits the market's blind spots and depends on an external price source. Our odds come from our own models: goals models for football, ice hockey and baseball, points models for basketball, American football and rugby, and Elo ratings for tennis, MMA and League of Legends series. The football model, measured on past matches, learnt from 10,783 games and was then checked against 1,973 later ones; for basketball the figures are 8,665 and 1,712. Both did better than a naive base-rate forecast on log-loss. Read more on the in-house odds page.

Controls that stay with the operator

The margin is set per operator and applied proportionally across the outcomes of each market. Operators also set minimum and maximum odds, maximum stake, maximum payout, maximum selections per ticket and the closing time before the start (by default, markets close one minute before kick-off). Bets are pre-match; in-play pricing is in development.

The sportsbook is available through SoftAggregator, a casino and sportsbook game aggregator: one integration gives an operator casino games and Nocturn Sport together. Operators who prefer a direct connection can integrate the sportsbook API.

Who the platform is for

The typical client is an online casino that sees its players asking for football, basketball or esports, and wants a sportsbook tab without hiring traders. Another is a betting brand that already has a front end and wants an independent source of pre-match prices, or a second opinion next to its own trading. A third is a new brand that wants a complete betting site quickly, with its own logo and colours. Each starts from the same engine and chooses the layers it needs.
