LPL betting guide: Chinese League of Legends odds
China's LPL is the largest League of Legends league by number of teams and plays at a ferocious tempo.

LPL betting odds cover the League of Legends Pro League, China's top competition. LPL teams are known for relentless skirmishing, fast rotations and a willingness to fight anywhere on the map. With a big field of teams, there are plenty of series each week, and a wide gap between the leaders and the bottom of the table.
How the LPL works
The LPL brings together more teams than the other major regions, and they play across several stages each year, mostly in best-of-three series in the regular phase and best of five in the playoffs. The top Chinese sides represent the region at the Mid-Season Invitational and the World Championship. Formats are adjusted from season to season, so check the stage rules before you bet.
Why the LPL is different for bettors
Fight-heavy games produce more volatile maps: a team can be behind on gold and still win one decisive team fight. In practical terms, two things follow:
- Underdogs steal maps. Even a clear favourite drops maps regularly, so the over 2.5 total maps in best of three deserves attention.
- Depth of field. With many teams, mismatches between top and bottom sides are common, and the -1.5 map handicap becomes the main way to bet favourites.
Worked example from our Elo ratings
Our model uses Elo: the gap between two ratings gives a per-map win chance. Imagine an even-looking LPL clash where the slightly stronger team has 55 % per map. In a best of three, it wins the series about 57.5 % of the time, sweeps 2-0 about 30.3 %, and the series goes to a third map 49.5 % of the time. In other words, close matchups go the distance about half the time, which a bettor can use on the total maps market.
